Author and Occupational Therapist Kelly Beins, will be reading her two books, “Ovis Has Trouble with School” and “Ovis Has Trouble with Eating.” Following the reading, Kelly will be available for book signing and questions from parents about sensory processing disorder. No registration is required and the event is open to all ages and abilities. Copies of the books will be available for purchase.
The first in a series of brief lectures by Kelly Beins, Occupational Therapist. Most parents know it’s best to limit screen time but managing the onslaught of negative behaviors when parents set limits is challenging. Additionally, many parents don’t know that active screen time is not just about video games! This talk shares key points for parents to consider and presents practical strategies that parents can implement when trying to limit and navigate screen time with their children. Kelly will be available for questions at the end of the talk. Kelly has spoken at national and state levels and is a published children’s author with over 23 years of clinical experience.
Parents and health providers are invited for an informal evening of socialization and information sharing. A few key providers will be sharing information from their field that is helpful to parents and parents can ask questions of those in attendance. Get to know your resources, personally!
